Recently former world champion Manny Pacquiao made headlines when he commented on a possible fight against Ukrainian superstar Vasyl Lomachenko. ‘Pac Man’ told a news channel that he’s interested in a potential super fight against the WBO World super featherweight champion.
“There are negotiations now about the number one pound-for-pound (boxer) which is Lomachenko,
There are still talks on the weight, reducing the weight,” commented Pacquiao.
2017 was a fun year but 2018 you will see a even better me. You all will see me add some new belts to my collection. Happy New Year everyone! pic.twitter.com/N780d4QYIU

Fans have been excited over the rumours of ‘Pac Man’ targeting a Lomachenko clash but sadly the Ukrainian’s manager Egis Klimas had some bad news.
According to Russia Today Sport, a fight between Lomachenko and Pacquiao is not even close to happening.
“No, it’s not [the] truth,” commented Kligas exclusively to RT Sport.
Pacquiao is definitely still not done in the sport of boxing.
Despite losing his WBO World welterweight championship in May 2017 to Jeff Horn in a controversial decision, Pacquiao is eager to get back into big fights.
Alongside Lomachenko, the 39 year-old Philippino boxing legend has been linked to a possible money fight against Conor McGregor as well. However, it seems that both fights are simply too unrealistic at this moment for Pacquiao.

Meanwhile, Lomachenko has his sight set on getting more belts. He recently expressed interest in taking part in the upcoming new World Boxing Super Series tournament that would reportedly consist of smaller weight classes.
‘Hi-Tech’ has also been linked to a potential clash against unbeaten American WBC World lightweight titleholder Mikey Garcia.
In his last fight against Guillermo Rigondeaux, the Ukrainian gained the nickname ‘NoMaschenko’ after he made the Cuban retire on his stool before the seventh round.
Who do you fans want to see me fight? If not listed, reply with opponent.
