Floyd Mayweather’s tax problems have now become public knowledge. The 40-year old owes a hefty sum of unpaid taxes from 2015 and it’s believed that it’s the biggest reason why needs to fight again and pay his debts to the IRS.
Conor McGregor has obviously also heard the news about his opponents recent troubles. When asked for his take on it by TMZ, the Irishman was his usual self and gave an honest answer.
“That’s gonna sting. F**k what he did, I don’t give a f**k. He’s f***ed now!”
It’s no secret that Floyd needs McGregor to help him out with the IRS and this should give “The Notorious” some pretty good verbal ammo regarding their upcoming press tour that starts today.
“That’s the god honest truth. He should have paid his taxes and stayed retired. And kept my name out of his mouth,” commented McGregor.
McGregor says he won’t make the same mistakes as Floyd when it comes to taxes.
“I’ll be smart,” said the Irishman.
The Mayweather-McGregor world wide press tour begins today in Los Angeles. It ends this Friday at The SSE Wembley Arena in London.
The fight itself will happen on August 26th in Las Vegas.
