Mike Tyson Involvement In Francis Ngannou Camp For Anthony Joshua Revealed

Mike Tyson was in camp alongside Francis Ngannou for his boxing debut and now there has been a revelation about the former UFC champion’s second camp ahead of his fight with Anthony Joshua.

Ngannou put in a superb showing when fighting in the squared circle for the first time last October. After a career that had seen him get to the very top of MMA he made the switch to boxing look easy when taking on WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

As well as pushing Fury hard across all 10 rounds, he even secured a solid knockdown in round three and many people believe he was unlucky not to get the win.

Some of his success was no doubt in part down to having the legendary former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in his camp sharing all sorts of knowledge and expertise.

Now, speaking to All Out Fighting, he was asked whether ‘Iron Mike’ would be involved again ahead of his fight with Anthony Joshua on March 8.

“To be honest in this fight since my own trainer was here, we didn’t get Tyson here this time.”

He was then asked how much actual involvement Tyson had during the camp for the Fury fight.

“Yeah, multiple, like three times he came in or something like that. He was more advising, he came to watch our training more than three times. He would watch the training and give me some advice.”

With or without Tyson in his corner, Ngannou has another huge task ahead of him on March 8 but all credit must go to him for rising to a challenge that Amir Khan thinks is a winnable one.
