Mike Tyson has responded to longstanding rumours that he will one day fight braggadocious YouTuber, Jake Paul.
Tyson, although now well into his fifties, has been incessantly linked to a bout with ‘The Problem Child’ since he started his foray into professional boxing a few years ago.
Speaking on his podcast Hot Boxin’, Tyson categorically ruled out the possibility of fighting Paul or indeed anyone else.
“No way! I’m not fighting nobody, I’m just chilling.”
‘Iron Mike’ laced up the gloves again back in 2020, when he took on fellow hall of famer Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
The contest was adjudged to be a split decision draw, however the consensus is that Tyson got the better of Jones on that particular night.
In a remarkable coincidence, Paul actually featured on the undercard of the event, when he took on former professional basketball player Nate Robinson.
In what was his second professional bout, Paul knocked Robinson out cold, the video of which went viral and furthered the hype surrounding the Ohio native.
After winning four fights on the trot from that point, Paul was finally handed the first loss of his career earlier this year when he was outpointed by Tommy Fury at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.
Fury survived a late knockdown and point deduction to edge out a split decision win over Paul, who was also docked a point.
There had been reports that Paul would activate a contractual rematch clause following the defeat, however news on this has since gone quiet and it is still up in the air as to who each man will face next.
