“Yeah, I think Dillian Whyte would be the perfect guy to knock the hell out,” said Miller to Sky Sports. “He fought a taxi cab driver on his American debut that no one really cared about. I think this would be an awesome fight, for me and Dillian to headline in April.”
Miller insists he would need less than half of the usual 12 round distance to dispose of ‘The Bodysnatcher’.
“[I see] me knocking Dillian Whyte out in four to five rounds,” Miller replied when pressed on the outcome of a potential meeting with Dillian Whyte.
Miller wants IBF, IBO, WBA (Super) champion, Anthony Joshua, while on the other hand, Whyte is aiming his crosshairs at WBC champion Deontay Wilder.
Their contest, says Miller, could be some type of eliminator where the winner would land a world title crack at Wilder or Joshua.
“I think the eliminator would be one of us fight either Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua right after that. Definitely, after that fight, I should be in the mandatory position. There is no ifs and buts about it,” Miller said.
Dillian Whyte is coming off of a decision victory against Robert Helenius, a fight where he captured WBC ‘Silver’ heavyweight title on the undercard of Anthony Joshua – Carlos Takam at the end of October.
On the other hand, Jarrell Miller forced a stoppage of Mariusz Wach after nine rounds on the undercard of the Daniel Jacobs – Luis Arias middleweight showdown.
Both fighters are promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing, making any potential transatlantic hiccups a non-issue and the matchup very feasible.
