After plenty of playful back and forth over social media, it seems Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury might be getting closer to a fight.
Usyk’s manager Egis Kilmas has taken to Twitter to respond to a video in which former fighter Matt Macklin expresses his frustration at the lack of an undisputed fight between the two champions.
Within his reply, he revealed that his man has agreed to his half of the deal.
“Yes, we all do want this one to happen and we want to thank Skill Challenge Promotions for trying and trying to make it happen. Just would like all world to know from Usyk all done, signed & sealed.”

Skill Challenge and Saudi Arabia are known for making separate deals with each fighter to avoid disputes. That means the ball is seemingly in ‘The Gypsy King’s court.
Whether or not he will sign is another matter, as both sides have accused the other of being hard to work with. Fury has hurled plenty of insults at Usyk, calling him a ‘middleweight’, a ‘rabbit’, ‘gappy-teethed’ and ‘little s***house’ among other things.
Talks for a coming together of WBC champion Fury and WBA, WBO and IBF champion Usyk initially broke down over rematch financials in March.
The Brit is rumoured to be lining up the MMA star Francis Nagannou for a bout, while Usyk is set to make a WBA mandatory defence against Daniel Dubois after his promotional team, K2, won the purse bid. That fight is scheduled for August 26 in Poland.
This news from Kliimas, however, is the most encouraging so far that fans might get to see the long-anticipated undisputed fight in the not too distant future.
