Paddy Pimblett Accepts Jake Paul’s $1m Offer After Fight Fix Allegation

Jake Paul has called for a million dollar spar in response to fight fixing allegations.

Hitting back at the UFC up-and-comer’s suggestion that his recent knockout of Anderson Silva was staged, Jake Paul (6-0) has offered to fly Pimblett out to Puerto Rico to face off in the gym.

He took to social media to first address the allegations.

“Poor Paddy Pimblett, man. I was really wanting to like you. I really was. You got a cut little thing going for you, man, but then you come out and say my fight against Anderson Silva was rigged. I’m sick and tired of this narrative. It’s pathetic. It’s stupid. You’re disrespecting the own GOAT of your own sport.”

“You’re saying that Anderson Silva is a criminal. You’re saying he’s a fraud. You’re saying that Viacom, one of the biggest media companies in the world, is doing criminal stuff. That’s what you’re saying.”

Paul seems to have changed his tune as to allegations of this kind, as he was recently taken to court by Eddie Hearn for saying something not dissimilar.

The American isn’t going down the legal route, though – he’d rather glove up and fight the MMA lightweight.

“I have a proposition for you. Since you wouldn’t rig a fight, right? Let’s spar. Fly to Puerto Rico, I’ll get you a private jet. We can do five three-minute rounds boxing. If you win, I’ll give you a million dollars – which is what you deserve to get paid, Paddy … But if I win, you have to join the United Fighters’ Association, and help me sign up all the fighters in the UK.”

Pimblett, a rising star and hometown hero from Liverpool, accepted quickly, but refused the location because of fight plans.

“Challenge accepted, but I’m not going to Puerto Rico when I’m fighting next Saturday. If you want to come and spar, get to PI [UFC Performance Institute] next week. I’ll fight Saturday, I’ll chill Sunday, and I’ll beat you up Monday.”

The American YouTuber-turned-fighter continues to command attention in the sport. Fans that have been urging him to face a professional boxer his own weight and age will hope that this spar is just an aside to more solid fight plans coming soon.

Rumours surrounding Tommy Fury continue to grow, although negotiations between the pair may be doomed following two unsuccessful agreements so far.
