Welsh wonder Lee Selby is in a good match up this weekend as chief support to James DeGale’s homecoming at the Copperbox when he defends his IBF Featherweight crown against unbeaten Mexican southpaw Eduardo Ramirez.

Selby keeps busy as he awaits big domestic dates with Josh Warrington and Carl Frampton next year with a tough defence over Ramirez who last fought in late September in Las Vegas, where he was thought very unlucky to just come away with just a draw against tall and rangy undefeated Cuban prospect Leduan Barthelemy.
Southpaw Ramirez looked to have done enough from long range moving side to side with quick attacks and a good defence, boxing well behind a relaxed but accurate jab for ten entertaining rounds. The decision was met with boos from a disgruntled crowd who favoured the Mexican’s busier work.

This Saturday night in London, Selby faces Eduardo Ramirez next. Watch live on SHO YouTube and Facebook page. #SelbyRamirezpic.twitter.com/1NuZq31HUn— Undisputed Champion Network (@UCNlive) December 5, 2017
Ramirez unbeaten in 23 contests but only 7 inside schedule suggest a lack of power but three of his last nine opponents all had long unbeaten records so he’s performed at a good competitive level. We have learned the hard way over the years never to underestimate a young hungry Mexican like Ramirez.
I would expect Ramirez to make this an entertaining contest as he tries to take the fight to Selby but the all round excellent skills and the variety of Selby will be all too much for Ramirez who will be left chasing shadows as Selby moves on to another dominant wide margin points win.
Six And Out
Daniel Dubois, the young London heavyweight fits the old adage “If your good enough your old enough” as he looks to be on the fast track to the top in an ever growing, exciting, British heavyweight division.
This Saturday its fight number six for the big punching 20 year old giant, who is yet to be extended past two rounds in the eight months since switching to the professional ranks.
It’s official I will fight Dorian Darch next on December 9th on @btsport & @boxnationtv

Hoping to give Dubois some valuable ring time is sturdy Welshman Dorian Darch, who at 33 years old has experience and shared the ring with Anthony Joshua, Hughie Fury, and Eddie Chambers, managing to at least extend recent World Title challenger Fury the full six when they met four years ago.
To date, in his 18 fight career he has 12 wins coming at a much lower level and has not been stopped in the last three years and six fights, so expect him to try and put up a stubborn effort.

Dubois, however, is living up to that Dynamite nickname and will want to carry on in big punching fashion and don’t be surprised if his competitive nature pushes him to beat Joshua’s 2nd round blitz of Darch in spectacular fashion.
‘Triple D’ is a young man in a hurry.
