The wheels could be about to be set in motion ahead of a blockbuster heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. this comes after British Boxing Board of Control’s general secretary, Robert Smith said they are waiting on Tyson Fury and his team to issue a date to recommence their UK anti-doping hearing.
“We are ready to go. UKAD do all our anti-doping for us, they have an independent panel that is dealing with the case and we are trying to get a date finalised. But we are unable to do so because they [Fury’s legal team] haven’t confirmed one.” Robert Smith explained before stressing the BBBoC’s stance to reach a conclusion as quickly as they can; “Of course we want it done. We are as frustrated as anybody else, because I get questions about Fury on a regular basis, but ultimately it is up to them” Robert Smith concluded.
Ahead of what is expected to be a pivotal 2018 in determining the legacy of the former champion, Tyson Fury but he has drawn solace in his dire situation by reflecting on Muhammad Ali’s famous triumph over the then-undefeated knockout sensation George Foreman in Zaire, Africa in 1974. This was an accomplishment Ali had made after he was forced into an imposed exile from the sport which lasted more than three full calendar years, after refusing to drafted into the US army, citing his religious beliefs as the reason for his refusal.

Fury drew comparisons with current world heavyweight champion Joshua, posting on social media [sic]: “The old champ coming back to fight a man who every1 thinks will ko me.”
His statement continued [sic]: “I will not lay down or be afraid of some muscles & I have the mentality of a winner a man who has never lost a fight. A true champion coming back to claim his thrown [sic], This is my era they are from my time, I must destroy them.”
The comparisons do not stop there with Fury just like Ali, intends on coming out of retirement with his undefeated record still intact and at the tender age of 29 is a very similar age to ‘The Louisville Lip’ when he embarked on his return in 1970.
