Ryan Garcia Reveals Timeline For Next Fight in Boxing

Ryan Garcia revealed on a live stream with the rapper, 6ix9ine, when his next fight will be, and whom he most wants it to be against.

The polarizing prizefighter, who lost to Rolando Romero in 2025, rebounded in 2026 with a measured and disciplined victory over Mario Barrios to wrest the WBC welterweight world title from the champion’s waist atop a a PBC and Golden Boy Promotions co-promotion at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on February 21.

There is great speculation regarding when Garcia will make his first defense.

“My next fight is September 12.”

He added: “I can’t announce it yet, but there are some people from the UK that need an ass-whooping. The guy I might fight next is from the UK.”

6ix9ine then pledged to walk Garcia out for his next fight. And, considering there’s only one viable box office opponent from the UK for whom Garcia could combine with to create a pay-per-view show, it’s clear he was referencing Conor Benn.

The former Matchroom boxer left Eddie Hearn’s stable earlier this year to join the upstart fight firm, Zuffa Boxing. Benn boxed Regis Prograis but labored to a win on April 11, before signing a new contract after the one-fight deal worth $15 million seemingly expired following last month’s decision.

“It’s gonna be in Vegas [at the] T-Mobile [Arena],” Garcia added. “You hear that, Conor Bum? My guy is gonna walk me out.

“Go get a goofy from England to walk you out,” he finished.
