Knockout machine and rising British prospect Sam Bowen (11-0, 8 KO’s) has finally got himself a fight coming up according to his trainer, Carl Greaves.
‘The Bullet’ will the fighting on September 9th in Leicester against an opponent yet to be announced.
“We need to get him a tough test. Keep him busy. He hasn’t been getting enough rounds so it’s important that we get rounds,” said Greaves.
Bowen is mostly known for his stunning power, but the super featherweight fighter has had some bad luck with landing fights. However, Bowen is now finally getting the challenges that he’s looking for.
“We’ve been told that we are next in line for the British super featherweight title,” revealed the trainer.
The title is currently being held by Joseph Martin Ward (18-0-2, 8 KO’s). “Wardy” won the vacant British title last year and he’s successfully defended it three times since. In his last fight, he defeated Anthony Cacace via unanimous decision this past July at Wembley Arena.
