WBO World Middleweight champion, Billy Joe Saunders says he is paying old rival, Chris Eubank Jr no attention. Furthermore, Saunders said he will not be following his progress in the super-middleweight World Boxing Super Series tournament.
“I don’t really care if he can win it or not,” said Saunders, when asked about Eubank Jr’s chances of lifting the Muhammad Ali trophy.
“He’s one of them that I personally don’t think he’s a true super-middleweight. He holds the IBO [title], but that’s nothing is it? let’s face it.”

Saunders did however, state that he expects a ‘great fight’ when George Groves takes on Eubank Jr in their WBSS semi-final. “I hope George Groves fares well for him, because that could be a great fight,” Saunders commented.
Saunders also suggested had he been in Khan’s shoes, he would have opted to fight Brook instead of participating in a reality television series.
“If I had been him, I wouldn’t have worried about going into the celebrity jungle for 100 grand or so, I would fight Kell Brook for four or five million.”
Saunders then added, “Clearly not, but good luck to him, whatever he decides to do.”

Saunders and Eubank Jr have bad blood stretching back to their European, British and Commonwealth title match up in 2014.
Billy Joe Saunders edged out a split decision on that occasion. The tension between the pair has escalated ever since, Saunders even suggested Eubank would never win a world title, following their meeting.
IBO super-middleweight champion, Eubank Jr is currently waiting for his semi-final against Groves to be scheduled. Both combatants are promoted by the Sauerland brothers.
Meanwhile, WBO world middleweight champion, Billy Joe Saunders is deep into camp ahead of his third title defence against the hard-punching knockout artist David Lemieux.
