The undisputed female middleweight title fight between Clarissa Shields and Savannah Marshall will happen says Ben Shalom.
The Boxxer CEO who promotes Marshall had been confident of announcing the fight following the WBO champion’s win over Femke Hermans six weeks ago.
Both Shields and Marshall had a face-off in the ring afterwards but since then things appear to have gone quiet.
“The terms are agreed, they’re ready to fight,” Shalom told Boxing Social’s Ryan Elliott.
“We’re waiting on a date that all the parties agree on. Savannah had a few things to work out on her end. It won’t be long, it’s just a matter of time. The final pieces in the jigsaw coming together and that fight it is certain to happen next.”
