The bout between WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. and former two-weight king Danny Garcia has landed on November 21.
Both fighters confirmed the pay-per-view fight on social media, with the fight likely to take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles though other venues have been reserved by promoters Premier Boxing Champions to prepare for any further spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
“Done deal, the king of the division [is] back. November 21 on Fox PPV vs Danny Garcia,” tweeted Spence (26-0, 21 KOs), who has not fought since a high-speed car crash where he suffered serious injuries including a broken jaw in October 2019.
“Here we go, Errol Spence Jr. on November 21. Signed! Sealed! Delivered! My 10th world title fight, it’s time to crown the king again,” tweeted Garcia (36-2, 21 KOs).
The duo were originally scheduled to fight in January 2020 before Spence’s car crash and subsequent injury scotched those plans. Spence was last seen in the ring earning a split decision against the ever-tough Shawn Porter in September 2019 while Garcia outscored Ivan Redkach in January.
