WBC and IBF welterweight king Errol Spence Jr. will meet former two-weight world champion Danny Garcia in November.
A pay-per-view event has been agreed, according to both The Athletic and Steve Kim of ESPN.com.
The likely location is the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, but Premier Boxing Champions, which promotes both men, has reserved other venues across the US depending on the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Different States will have their own health and safety guidelines depending on how the virus situation evolves in America.
Spence (26-0, 21 KOs) was last seen edging WBC champion Shawn Porter on the cards to unify the 147lbs titles in Los Angeles last September. A few weeks later, the Texan was involved in a high-speed car crash in Dallas where he suffered serious injury including a broken jaw. Garcia (36-2, 21 KOs) last fought in January when he decisioned Ivan Redkach.
The duo were on the verge of fighting in January 2020 before Spence’s accident scotched those plans.
