Yesterday shortly after the news broke that David Haye had pulled out from his December 17th rematch against Tony Bellew, former World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury posted a video on social media and called Bellew out.
Fury wants to replace Haye and fight Bellew on May 5th at the O2 in London.

Fury even posted the combination that he would use to knock out Bellew.
This is the 5 punch combo I'll finish @TonyBellew with if he has the balls to sign for the fight.👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/qDzYpmVxMf

Bellew’s camp commented on Fury’s call out and as expected, they are not that interested in fighting the big heavyweight.
“He’s too big. That’s not a fight I would entertain whatsoever. Fury is big, long and very, very clever in that ring. There’s no way that I’d be interested in that fight,” said Bellew’s trainer David Coldwell to Boxing News Online.
I'm sorry is all I can say! I was ready to go ahead with this fight regardless of my teams wishes but I always show up and get in and give it everything. I will sit down with @eddiehearn soon and will now use this time wisely with my family and get over the loss of our brother đź’”

At this point, the official update is that the rematch is postponed until March 24th or May 5th. One potential name that was brought soon after Haye pulled out was WBO champion Joseph Parker.
“If it’s not too far out, we’ll speak about it. Do we wait? Do we do something else? I don’t know, we’ll see. We’ll have to see how quickly he [Haye] does recover. The best thing about Haye is the team that he has around him, the money that he has available to him to get things sorted, he does recover from his injuries very, very quickly… This could be one of them. But I don’t know,” told Coldwell.
Another name who threw his hat into the ring was Dillian Whyte. He’s been actively jabbing Bellew verbally on Twitter for a short while now.
Let’s not let the boxing fans down @EddieHearn I will fight Bellew @TonyBellew in December and beat him up even without a proper training camp @SkySportsBoxing

Bellew has a lot of options on the table since he’s a sought after opponent in the British scene. He could take on one of the names mentioned or just safely wait for Haye until March or May. Trainer Coldwell added that it is Bellew’s decision what happens next.
“Ultimately it’s down to what Tony wants to do,” he summarised.
