Joseph Parker and Duco Event hosted a press conference earlier which has caused a lot of headlines in the last ten hours.
The original press release already raised eyebrows after Duco Event’s announced that they would distribute video footage of Anthony Joshua being dropped in the ring.

During the actual press conference, Parker’s promoter David Higgins wanted the prove the audience that his fighter has a better chin than Joshua and showed clips of Joshua getting hit against Klitschko and Dillian Whyte.
“Parker has a granite chin, whereas Joshua possibly has a glass jaw,” said Higgins.
Higgins then listed out names who have dropped Joshua in a ring or allegedly in sparring.
“Joshua has been dropped numerous times – as an amateur, in the ring. It’s the worst kept secret in boxing. It’s a genuine weakness. It’s a 50-50 fight.
“We’re going to name some of the people who have dropped AJ.
“Some Joshua fans are saying we’re disrespectful, but were not revealing anything new.
“The names of the people are: Lawrence Okolie, Mihai Nistor, Daniel Dubois, Wladimir Klitschko, David Price and Dillian Whyte,” told Higgins.
They then proceeded to announce that if anyone can find and submit footage of Parker being dropped, he or she would get £20 000.
“If you can send us proof that Joseph Parker has ever been dropped and be the first person to do so we’ll send you a cheque for £10,000,” Higgins said.
Parker added:
“I’ll match that. I’ll match that and put up £10,000 myself.”
Team Parker also gave an update on negotiations and revealed their final offer.
“We have gone from 50 to 40 to 35 per cent of the net profit and are willing to take the fight next. It’s our final bottom line decision. We feel anything less is disrespectful or a disgrace. Given Joshua has two belts and Joe has one, a share of about two-thirds and one-third split seems natural justice,” told Higgins according to Sky Sports.
Fans have given Duco Events and Parker a lot of negative feedback for their press conference stunt, but Higgins says it was ‘factual evidence’.

“AJ and I want to unify and they (the promoters) should make it happen. I’m happy my team is taking care of that. I’m staying in shape in case it happens,” summarised Parker.
