Joseph Parker’s promoter David Higgins has made it clear they will not tolerate any delays regarding Tuesday’s final press conference.
The WBO World heavyweight champion’s promoter accuses of Anthony Joshua of being late on a constant basis
“AJ thinks it’s fashionable to be late, whatever, and maybe he thinks that he gets a psychological edge by being late. We just think it’s silly and disrespectful,” Higgins told in an interview with Sky Sports.
“We will start on the dot. We will start the press conference on time and will leave 30 minutes later.
“If AJ doesn’t show up, it shows that he has no respect for the media, or for the fans, because he’s been late 100 times in a row.
“The first challenge to Anthony Joshua is to be on time for the first time in your life.”
According to Eddie Hearn, Team Parker need to relax and worry not because Joshua will show up.
“They need to relax. It’s understandable that nerves are getting to them, but just chill out. We’ll be there,” responded Hearn to Sky Sports.
Parker’s trainer Kevin Barry also commented on the matter.

When speaking to Boxing Social, Hearn said that he’s looking forward to the final press conference and promises to get under Higgins’ skin and hopes that Team Parker will address the allegations regarding Joshua’s chin right in front of the WBA, IBF and IBO champion.
“I want to see Higgins and I want to see Parker tell Joshua up on that stage. Joshua’s heard a lot of stuff that Parker said. He wants to hear it from him and not from a video,” Hearn told Boxing Social.
