Former two-division world champion, Tim Bradley, has revealed his emphatic prediction ahead of next month’s highly anticipated welterweight clash between Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford.
Bradley lost just twice in a thirty-six fight career, during which time he achieved world honours at both super-lightweight and welterweight, losing only to Manny Pacquiao, in a memorable trilogy rivalry.
As well as a win over PacMan, Bradley defeated the likes of Junior Witter, Lamont Peterson and Juan Manuel Marquez, earning him a place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
In an interview with Fight Hype, Bradley explained why he believes Terence Crawford will come out on top and even get the stoppage over Spence.
“The problem that I see with Spence every now and then is that when he can’t get to you, he pushes the temp a little bit more and he starts making mistakes and lunging forwards with his attacks. You can’t do that with Crawford.
You start making mistakes and lunging forward, getting overly aggressive, he’s going to time you with something. I think his job is to frustrate the c**p out of Spence, he’s going to get him acting overly aggressive and he is going to run him into something. That is why I saw Crawford by stoppage.
Some people say like ‘a car accident hasn’t even stopped this man, Spence is different, he’s built different’. I get it, I understand, but you don’t understand that Crawford is a different animal and the best fighter of this generation.
He can make adjustments, he has more tools in his toolbox, to be able to make adjustments against what Spence does.”
Spence and Crawford are scheduled to go head-to-head on July 29th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
