Cruiserweight prospect, Tommy Fury, has been under the spotlight this month as he prepares to fight influencer-turned-fighter, Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia.
As the first professional boxer that Paul has faced and a family name to protect, Fury has plenty of pressure on his shoulders, but proved the power of his jab against a punch machine, which happened to have a picture of Paul attached to it.
The transatlantic rivals have been at each other’s throats for what feels like an eternity and as the fight date draws closer, the animosity continues to intensify.
In an appearance on ‘Kick Game’, a sneaker shopping YouTube channel, Fury was faced with a punch machine with a photo of Paul on the front.
Fury restricted himself to using just a jab, not only to defeat host, Craig Mitch, but also to make sure that Paul didn’t pull out of the fight, he claimed.
“I might have to use my elbow for that.”
“I’m going to use my jab because I don’t want to scare him off too much. I have a feeling that if I use my right hand, he might not show up [to the fight].”
The 23-year-old recorded a score of 841, with Mitch’s overhand right reaching just 821, before Fury proceeded to rip up the antagonising image of ‘The Problem Child’.
Despite the supposed power of the former Love Island star, ‘TNT” Fury has failed to prove it against his opponents in recent fights, with his last three fights going the distance.
This Sunday the games will stop when the two finally enter the ring against each other.
