Tommy Fury has lashed out at those in the boxing industry who have picked Jake Paul to defeat him when the pair lock horns in just under three weeks time.
Despite Fury being the more experienced boxer, a growing number of pundits are starting to back Paul in the fight at the Diriyah Arena on February 26, and bookmakers even have the YouTuber as the betting favourite.
Fury, when asked about those picking against him by BBTV, claims those siding with the American are fuelled by little more than jealousy and bitterness
“Everybody who’s picked Jake Paul over me clearly doesn’t know a thing about boxing, and are clearly very jealous and bitter.”
“I’m not naming no names, but they all know who they are.”
“At the end of the day, I’ve never had one bit of jealousy in my body or had one bitter bone in my body. I’ve always wanted the best for everybody, but clearly that’s not the intentions of some people out there.”
The 23 year old’s confidence has clearly not been swayed by former fighters picking Paul to get the win, and he did not mince his words when addressing “former world champions” who had opted for the braggadocious YouTuber.
“A lot of people are going to have egg on their faces come the 26th, because I’m to go out there and show people that this is a mismatch.”
“All these so called former world champions don’t know what the f*** they’re on about, and I’m going to prove that.”
Months of social media call outs and trash talking will finally come to a head when the two young stars get in the ring later this month, in what is set to be one of the biggest commercial fights of the year thus far.
