Following weeks of relentless and vile trolling from Dillon Danis targeted at opponent Logan Paul’s partner, Nina Agdal, Tony Bellew has said that the crossover promotion is ‘a step too far.’
A fight between the two Americans is set to land in Manchester on October 14, propping up a main event of KSI versus Tommy Fury.
The Misfits promoted card has benefited from plenty of buzz with the inclusion of the bitter rivals, but it has been soured by Danis’ social media activity, constantly sharing videos and images of Agdal and calling her a ‘whore’ on at least one occasion.
Speaking to Betting Sites, Bellew said that if he was on the receiving end of such vile trolling that the fight ‘wouldn’t make it to the ring.’
“He’s taken it way too far. I’m not going to lie, if someone insults my wife it’s not going to make it to the boxing ring. It would get dealt with literally immediately.
It doesn’t matter how many security guards he has with him either, you can’t have someone insulting your wife or fiancé. It’s a step too far. I don’t know what prompted him to do that, I have no idea.”
Agdal has been granted a restraining order on Danis which prevents the two-fight UFC personality from prevents him from ‘posting content in any way depicting or portraying Plaintiff that Defendant knows or has reason to believe was never meant to be shared publicly or was obtained without consent.’
It’s unclear how the social media harassment and subsequent legal action will affect the fight, for which Danis was largely expected not to turn up for in the first place.
