Former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, has called for a fight with British Youtuber-turned-boxer KSI, following an altercation at the Mayweather vs Deji event in Abu Dhabi.
Woodley, who held the UFC title for almost three years, is not new to the influencer boxing scene, having been defeated by Jake Paul on two occasions.
Now it seems that the 40-year-old has focused his attention on Paul’s biggest rival, KSI, who seem destined to fight against each other at some point down the line, but Woodley is seeking to put an end to KSI’s pursuit of 8-0 Paul.
Speaking to Boxing Social, Woodley said:
“My thing is, don’t talk sh*t on the internet if you don’t want to fight, if you want to use my name, you want to use my stripes, sign the contract.
Everybody trying to utilise people who are ex-UFC Champions or whatever they are to get clout is whack to me. If you want to be a real fighter, you want the accolades, you want to make the money, fight a real fighter.
He’s [KSI] been talking mad sh*t for the last couple of years, always got my name in his mouth, up until recently I didn’t even entertain it, so if you want to fight KSI, sign the contract, I’ve got it in my emails.”
With claims that there is already a contract on the table, a fight between Woodley and KSI may not be far away and this would be a logical fight for the latter.
Having seen Paul beat Woodley on points and then knock him out in devastating fashion, KSI might wonder what he has to gain taking on the former MMA star.
