Old foes Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder could potentially meet for the first time since their epic trilogy fight over a year ago.
The pair are both in Saudi Arabia for Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury tonight – and are even staying at the same hotel.
After ‘The Gypsy King’ had comfortably dispatched of Wilder in their second fight, appetite for a third bout was low but was forced through via legal arbitration from the American’s team.
The 2021 meeting proved to be the greatest fight of the three, a back and forth affair that culminated in an eleventh round stoppage win for Fury who retained the WBC world heavyweight title.
Wilder took a year out after the defeat, but returned to action in explosive action last October with a destructive first round knockout of Robert Helenius in New York.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ is now reportedly a free agent after a long affiliation with Al Haymon’s PBC, and promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he is sensationally in talks to make an all American dust up between Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr.
As for Fury, fans still wait with baited breath for news on a potential undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk after almost three months of negotiations.
The fight was expected to land in Saudi Arabia, however Fury was unable to agree a deal with bidders from the region and now Wembley Stadium is the new touted venue.
If finalised, the winner of Fury vs Usyk would be the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since the greta Lennox Lewis.
Queensberry stablemate Joe Joyce and former UFC Star Francis Ngannou are said to be options for Fury should the Usyk fight not materialise, with the Brit expected to fight on April 29th regardless of who the opponent is.
