The reigning lineal world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury has offered his retort to Anthony Joshua’s recent comments.
Joshua stated that an imminent clash with Fury is seemingly out of the question, as ‘The Gypsy King’ is currently hindered by his physical condition making the clash unfathomable at this present moment in time.
Joshua’s comments came as a result of Fury claiming that he would be prepared to take on Joshua in his first fight since dethroning Wladimir Klitschko over two years ago.
Fury made the challenge to Joshua yesterday afternoon and the tweet read: Just seen @anthonyfjoshua trying to play my challenge down saying I’ve not had a fight & not fit! I’m ready for this summer don’t s*** yourself now it’s been put on you!?
As a sporting challenge I Lay Down the challenge for @anthonyfjoshua to fight me in my first fight back in over 2.5 years! I'm the best heavyweight on the planet come prove I'm not? The ball is in your court don't let your fans down CHAMP👍🏼👊🏼 #wanttoseehowgoodiam

Fury seemed very serious about his challenge. ‘The Gypsy King’ remains insistent that he wants a chance to show ‘how good I am’.
Fury seemed to goad Anthony Joshua by reminding him of his responsibility to the fans and told the muscular Joshua not to let them down.
Fury’s comments have continued a growing and increasingly frequent back and forth with Joshua. Previously Fury had said that a warmup fight is not a necessity. Fury claims that he “can come off the couch and beat up on Anthony Joshua.
Fury concluded his statement with a final disparaging shot at Joshua. ‘The Gypsy King’ said ‘LETS ROCK U BIG BUM’.
I'm that good I don't need any warmups I can come off the couch & beat up on @anthonyfjoshua don't run your big arse in the bush,
Let's fight this summer!!! @SkySportsBoxing@SkyUK @boxnationtv @BTSportBoxing@HBOboxing@Showtime@RTLde@ITVSport#GYPSYKING LETS ROCK U BIG BUM!— TYSON FURY (@Tyson_Fury) January 3, 2018
Joshua is believed to be days away from finalising an agreement which will see him lock horns with the WBO world heavyweight champion, New Zealand’s Joseph Parker.
That clash is believed to have been cemented to be made for March 31st.
The clash is furthermore believed to be Joshua’s second consecutive fight at the 74,500 seater Principality Stadium. Joshua’s last fight against Carlos Takam took place at the venue.
Joshua eventually forced a stoppage of the Cameroonian, Takam after 10 gruelling rounds.

Fury meanwhile is stepping up his efforts in training to whip himself back into fighting shape. Last month he had his ongoing problems with UKAD reach its conclusion and he was cleared for a return to the ring.
However, the road back to the ring is not yet clear for Fury. ‘The Gypsy King’ has yet to be re-issued a professional boxing licence by The British Boxing Board of Control.
When your the lineal champion in your division your number1 even without alphabet titles, The truth.
So whatever people want to say it will be AJ challenging me for my status!!! THE LINEAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. & RING MAGAZINE HOLDER,— TYSON FURY (@Tyson_Fury) January 7, 2018
Fury still holds the Lineal RING magazine world heavyweight title, the only title he still holds from that night of triumph in Dusseldorf against Wladimir Klitschko at the tail end of 2015.
Some fighters & promotors lose there self in all the hype, forget who they had to rob to get a belt! 😜 There will never be another Tyson fury, for many reasons, #justsaying
