Tyson Fury has taken an innovative approach to try and persuade Anthony Joshua to sign to fight him – by kickstarting his fans into song.
Led by ‘The Gypsy King’ hundreds of fans sang a chorus of ‘AJ sign the contract’ at one of Fury’s after dinner shows last night. Never one to be coy, Fury posted a clip of the chanting to his close to six million Instagram followers.

Fans’ excitement for the potential mega clash between Fury and Joshua has been reignited over the last month, sparked by the WBC world champion calling out AJ in a video posted on social media.
Despite initial scepticism, the offer seemed to be legitimate from Fury and up until the last few days, the rumblings were from both sides that talks were progressing well and a December 3rd showdown at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff could be on the cards.
When team Joshua announced that their man agreed to the 60/40 split put forward by Fury, many felt that the fight was a done deal – with some fans even booking hotels in Cardiff!
However, things have gone ominously quiet over the past week or so and there are now significant doubts as to whether the legacy defining fight will get after all. Shane Fury, brother to Tyson, told Boxing Social he believes his brother will fight Manuel Charr as opposed to Joshua on December 3rd.
Looks like – yet again – UK fight fans may have got their hopes up only to be disappointed.
