Tyson Fury failed to be present at his schedulled UK Anti-Doping hearing on Monday. Fury’s absence was confirmed by UKAD.

Several media have tried to reach out to Fury’s camp for a statement or a comment but so far they have not explained why Fury didn’t attend the meeting on Monday.
Fury’s case continues today and there is no confirmation about whether he will be present at all.
The former World heavyweight champion and his cousin, former WBO heavyweight title challenger, Hughie Fury both tested positive for nandrolone in February 2015. UKAD charged the duo with a doping violation in June 2016. Tyson had beaten Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 and was schedulled to rematch the Ukrainian on June 2016 but postponed the date until October because of an ankle injury.
“We are baffled by the story in the Sunday Mirror. Tyson Fury absolutely denies any allegation of doping. He looks forward to recovering from his injury and defending his titles against Wladimir Klitschko in October,” said a Hennessy Sports statement back in 2016.
Both Fury’s have strongly denied all allegations. Their official claim was that they had eaten wild board that was not castrated. ‘The Gypsy King’ later on tested positive for cocaine. Fury explained the usage for recreational reasons as he was battling depression caused by injuries and the UKAD case. Fury famously relinquished his titles and was stripped of his boxing license.
However, Fury is still the Ring Magazine’s lineal heavyweight champion.
There also one more serious offense that might play a big factor in the hearing.
In September 2016, Fury declined to take a mandatory drugs test. If proven guilty, Fury’s drugs test refusal would count as a positive.
In a worst case scenario, Fury could receive a ban up to four years.
Lately, the heavyweight boxer has been posting countless training videos and tweets on social media confirming that he’s doing his best to get back in fighting shape. He already has potential fights lined up for 2018 with the likes of Tony Bellew and Anthony Joshua.

“We all want him back in the sport, I’d love to work with him. I’ve said before, I can deliver the Anthony Joshua fight; of course we are the only people who can,” said Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn on Monday to Boxing Social.
