Tyson Fury’s return to the ring is now in full motion, he has announced that he will make his return to the squared circle on June 9th.
It will be ‘The Gypsy King’s first fight since defeating the then longtime reigning world heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko for the unified Lineal, WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world heavyweight titles.
Furthermore, Fury will recommence his partnership with Frank Warren as he has opted to continue his career under the veteran promoter’s stewardship despite sustained talk that Fury was considering signing with Matchroom.
The upcoming return to the sport for the Fury will take place on June 9 at familiar territory for the former heavyweight ruler at The Manchester Arena.
An opponent for Fury has yet to be confirmed at this stage.
“I have finally returned.
“I am over the moon, it has been a long and complex situation that I am glad I have overcome now,” Fury said.
“I am a couple of years older when I return it will be one of the longest comebacks in history for a world champion.”
Fury touched on plans to realistically finally lock horns with Joshua next year after overcoming bouts of mental illness as well as trying to rid his body of the enormous weight gain he had amassed.
Characteristically, Fury had some choice words for ‘AJ’ and Fury even went as far as to label the 21-0 28-year-old champion a ‘dosser’ and ‘a belt carrier for me.’
“Joshua is a big old dosser, a belt carrier for me and it will be an easy fight, no contest.
“I have a tip for him: ‘Get a handful of rice and throw it’ that’s the only way he’ll land on me.”
Fury also warned that he believes at 29 years of age, his prime is still in front of him.

“I am coming into the prime of my life and I am more confident looking at the competition is easy.
Furthermore, Fury believes that he has seen weaknesses he can exploit against Joshua. Crucially, Fury will be the first man to be bigger than Joshua to take him on if the fight comes off.
He’s a lot smaller than me and I don’t think he holds a shot well.”
Fury also discussed his long hiatus from the ring and explained he lacked motivation after conquering ‘Everest’ against Klitschko.
Fury added: “Klitschko was my Everest and I felt I had nothing left to do, he was a great champ but he was not on my level that night.
“Joshua and Wilder were hot air at that time but I had nothing more to do, now I have challenges it is a breath of fresh air.”
“I might win the belts, retire again, balloon up and come back and win them all again.”
HE’S BACK!!! 👑
