Tyson Fury is never one to hide away from saying whatever is on his mind and in the latest round of press before his next fight he has claimed he has got opponents for his next 10 fights all lined up.
Fury is deep in camp for a second time for his historic undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk. It takes place on May 18 – three months after it was first scheduled due to a cut he sustained late in camp while sparring head of the first date in February.
While many were concerned about the implications of a delay, he has insisted he is in fine form and will be ready to challenge for all four belts in Saudi Arabia, despite a below-par showing against Francis Ngannou in October when he struggled to get the win.
Now, speaking to TNT Sports, he has revealed the 10 fights he could have that would take him to retirement having fired shots at his old foe Wladimir Klitschko this week.
“Usyk, Usyk, AJ, AJ, if he don’t get beat in the meantime, then I might chuck a Dubois in if he’s back up there, which he is at the moment. Joe Joyce, Parker, that’s seven. Go to America and Wilder that’s eight, maybe Agit Kabayel.”
Someone then suggested young and fast-rising star Moses Itauma.
“No definitely not, do you think I’m stupid? Probably a trilogy with Usyk or something afterwards.”
For any of these to even be a possibility, Fury must first come through the considerable challenge of Usyk.
