‘The Gypsy King’ seems to be in good spirits as he finishes his workout. Lately the heavyweight great has been showing significant signs of improvement mentally and physically.
This month will be very important for Fury as he will have, hopefully, his final hearing with UK Anti-Doping to determine the future of his career. According to the lineal champion himself, he is set to have his hearing on December 11th.
If successful, Fury’s ban will be lifted and he’ll get his license back from the British Boxing Board of Control.
Fury is set to have a rather interesting 2018 with multiple potential opponents on the horizon including current and former world champions.
The obvious one is reigning WBA, IBF & IBO World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua who’s people are currently in talks with WBO World heavyweight champion Joseph Parker’s camp about a unification bout for March or April according to reports.
One boxer who has also seen his fair share of inactivity is Shannon ‘The Cannon’ Briggs. The former WBO World heavyweight champion has been posting Fury’s call outs almost on a weekly basis on social media.
A more recent name in Fury’s list of possible opponents is Tony ‘The Bomber’ Bellew.
The Liverpudlian will fight David Haye in an anticipated rematch on May 5th at the O2 Arena in London. Bellew himself has said that after Haye, he wants to fight Fury.
I now have a very clear plan for 2018 and that is to knock out David Haye and then knock out Tyson ‘Stavros Flatley’ Fury and end both their careers but first things first I need to rid the sport of David Haye on May 5 and I look forward to doing this in what I believe will be an explosive fight.”
