Tyson Fury announced his retirement during the summer months but he’s now planning getting back on track with his comeback and losing the extra weight.
Many close to Fury believed that he will eventually return back to professional boxing. Now, the big man has finally spoken up and confirmed that there might a comeback.
Fury will have his hearing with the UK Anti-Doping agency next month and if all goes according to plan, he will return after the hearing.
“When I get my license back and I get fit again, and I get this five stone off – what did Schwarzenegger say? ‘I’ll be back.’ We’ll find out next month,” said Fury at a recent event according to The Sun.
As always, Fury is very confident in beating anybody in the current heavyweight division.
“I think they are all bums. I reckon personally on my night in the heavyweight division I think I’m capable of beating anybody,” he said.
The obvious fight for the lineal champion is to face the current number one heavyweight in the world, Anthony Joshua.
Fury doesn’t think much of Joshua.
He’s said in the past that he would ‘run rings around’ Joshua and has repeatedly called him a ‘weight lifter.’
“I don’t fear nobody and especially not some pumped up weightlifter,” stated Fury during the event.
Obviously, Joshua is aware of his possible future foe. The heavyweight champ will defend his title on October 28th against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev. The plan for Joshua then is to fight Luis Ortiz and eventually take on Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title.
Joshua has said that he will take the fight against Fury should it ever come to fruition.
“Now, I’m in a position that I can say: ‘Tyson when you’re back, I’m interested, so let’s live up to what people want to see us do’. That’s why he’s top of my list,” said Joshua to Sky Sports.
‘AJ’ hasn’t also shied away from the verbal jabbing.
