The undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk has had all sorts of opinions coming in and now Fury’s former long-time promoter has made one of the more shocking predictions.
Fury should have already taken on Usyk in the first undisputed fight since 1999 but a cut sustained late in turning added a delay from the original February 17 date so that it will now be contested on May 18.
That delay has got many people worried Fury might struggle mentally to stay switched on, while he was also accused of inflicting the cut himself in order to buy more time which is something his father John has raged about recently.
Now, his former promoter Mick Hennessy has been speaking to TalkSport about the fight and when asked for a winner he went with Usyk and then explained why.
“Oleksandr Usyk. I thin for big modern-day heavyweights, a lot of their kryptonite is lateral movement. Very quick heavyweights that have come up and on top of that he’s a southpaw and he’s got that athleticism, he’s a real chess player isn’t he. I think Usyk.”
