Tyson Fury’s press conference with Derek Chisora got a little more heated than many expected and the ‘Gypsy King’ unexpectedly revealed what ‘Del Boy’ will be getting paid for the fight.
Throughout the media event there was obvious tension between Chisora and Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, with Derek even threatening to call Eddie Hearn for tips on how to sell out the stadium.
During the face-off, Fury seemed to momentarily lose his cool when when Chisora stood up for his mate, Anthony Joshua, after the collapse of the mega-fight negotiations. It was during this exchange where Tyson let slip his opponents purse for the fight.
“The man [Joshua] is a coward and I’m just going to keep torturing him, until he actually has the balls to fight.”
“Listen, you should let me manage you, I’m the man who has got you this two million quid, me, not AJ [Joshua] and I’ll do it for free. I won’t take a tenner off of you, because I like to help people out for nothing. Free of charge, for old time’s sake, let me manage you.”

For ‘Del Boy’ this fight seems like a win-win situation, he’ll get one of his largest paydays to date and a second chance at becoming heavyweight champion of the world, all this with no pressure on his shoulders as he’ll undoubtedly go into the bout as a heavy underdog.
If he wins, he pulls off one of the greatest ever domestic upsets and if he loses, he’ll perhaps ride off into the sunset and enjoy his retirement.
