As his comeback gets closer, Tyson Fury is shedding off the extra weight and has big plans to dethrone the current world champions of the heavyweight division.
He’s promised to knock out Deontay Wilder after witnessing his fight against Luis Ortiz and the biggest target for the ‘Gypsy King’ is obviously Anthony Joshua, who Fury has been calling out for months.

But one of his recent videos wasn’t a call out or a training clip. Instead, Fury promised to make history and break one of the toughest records in boxing.

“You all need to know my plan now. Brainstorm change of plan. I’ve just set myself a goal of beating the great Joe Louis’ record of 25 title defences,” said Fury in the video.
The retired former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko managed to get to 18 title defences until he met the roadblock that was Fury back in November, 2015.
“Wladimir Klitschko almost beat Joe Louis’ record until I beat him and stopped him from equalling the great Joe Louis’ record,” Fury continued.
It’s one of the most challenging achievements in boxing but Fury promises to break the record.
“I’ve got 25 title defences to beat in the next ten years. Even if I put three fights in a year – I’ll beat it. It’s gonna be a hard challenge but I never set a challenge that I didn’t make,” stated the former world champion.

He then added:
“Now if anyone’s capable of doing it, I’m capable of doing it. What’s that word? Longevity. That’s what I’m looking for. I ain’t no flash in the pan and you’ll gonna see it. All comers, 26 title defences,” summarised Fury.
