Tyson Fury posted a video today of him having a playful spar with a toddler at his gym in Morecambe – and didn’t miss the opportunity to have a dig at potential future opponent Oleksandr Usyk.
The video, posted to Fury’s official Instagram account, shows ‘The Gypsy King’ messing around in the ring with the youngster, calling him by the Ukranian’s name throughout.

A fight between Fury and Usyk is rumoured to be in the works for the first half of 2023, after talks with Anthony Joshua for a huge all British showdown in December broke down last week.
Many observers felt the WBC world champion may attempt to swerve an undisputed clash with WBO, IBF and WBA belt holder Usyk, based on trouble Fury has had earlier in his career with elusive southpaws. However, rumblings from both camps indicate talks are positive for a fight next year.
Fury came out this afternoon to say he will announce an opponent for his December 3rd date next week, with German heavyweight Mahmoud Charr believed to be in the running.
Although Charr would represent an underwhelming dance partner after initial talks with team Joshua appeared from the outside to be promising. Fans may be forgiving though, if the fight served as a prelude for a legacy defining fight with Usyk.
A meeting between Fury and Usyk would be the first fight for the undisputed heavyweight crown since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield all the way back in 1999.
As recent events have shown though, it is perhaps wise to always avoid getting your hopes up as a boxing fan.
