Usyk’s Manager Says They’re Attending Fury-Chisora With A Plan

Egis Kilmas, manager of WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, has revealed his intentions to fly to London this weekend for the Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora trilogy .

Usyk had recently hinted that he would be in attendance for The Gypsy King’s upcoming fight with Chisora, which takes place this Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Klimas’ claims that not only will Usyk and his team be watching the fight live, but that they are here on business as well as being spectators.

In an interview with ESNEWS, Klimas revealed that the is heading to London with a plan to finalising the deal for Usyk to fight Fury for the undisputed heavyweight crown.

“I’ve got my tickets to go to London.”

“We are going December 3rd to London, hopefully we finalise.”

The fight has been spoken about ever since Usyk overcame Anthony Joshua for the second time back in August. It appears that the fight, or at least a deal for it, is relatively close, provided that Fury beats Chisora.

A win for either Usyk or Fury would make them the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000.

The Ukrainian would also become just the second fighter to reign as the undisputed champion in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, joining boxing legend Evander Holyfield in the extremely exclusive club.

Fury must first remain focussed on defeating ‘Del Boy’ in their trilogy bout, and making the third world title defence of his career, as he looks to retain his WBC strap.

The Fury-Chisora 3 undercard features another heavyweight clash, this time for the WBA Regular title, as Daniel Dubois defends his strap against South Africa’s Kevin Lerena.

The fight is available to purchase on BT Sport Box Office for £26.95.
