Deontay Wilder made headlines throughout this past weekend before and after his fight against Luis Ortiz.
The WBC World heavyweight champion showed toughness and grit against the Cuban challenger and left the Barclay Center victorious with a tenth round stoppage victory and 40th career win.
But earlier during fightweek ‘The Bronze Bomber’ sparked controversy and lashed out at Eddie Hearn. Wilder called him ‘just a white man milking a brother’, inciting that Hearn is taking advantage of Anthony Joshua financially.
They say 7 is a lucky number. I’ve defended my #WBCHeavyweightTitle 6 times already. That makes #LuisOrtiz lucky number 7. I already have God, power and skills on my side, and now I have luck too. I can’t lose. #WilderOrtiz#BombZquad#KINGvsKong#PBConShowtimepic.twitter.com/LZv9YyziQA

“I’m not commenting on that. I think Deontay’s just lost his mind. I don’t know if he’s just trying to build and hype the fight or just lost his marbles? Probably to hype the fight,” replied Hearn when asked about Wilder’s comments in an interview with Fight Hype.
But Hearn wasn’t the only one who had something to say about Wilder’s comments.
“He’s a racist c*** I think. I personally think he is. Questioning about our promoters using fighters. He’s got a bit of chip on his shoulder. When I read them [comments] I was thinking you can’t be saying that. It’s unprofessional,” said Billy Joe Saunders in an interview with IFL.TV.
Just gonna put it out their @Tyson_Fury and @anthonyfjoshua would play with @BronzeBomber no problem his to wild '

Later on in the interview, Saunders said that he wasn’t interested in seeing Wilder versus Joshua and would rather witness Tyson Fury land a date against ‘AJ.’
Joshua still has a tough task ahead of him as he takes on WBO World heavyweight champion Joseph Parker in Cardiff on March 31.
But should he get past Parker, we could finally see Wilder and Joshua in the same ring for the first time, potentially this year.
Wilder issued a warning to Joshua at the post-fight press conference after his seventh title defence of Saturday.
“They have never wanted the fight and after seeing what I did to Luis Ortiz they are definitely not going to want it.
“How many times do I have to call him out? How many times – they are hiding.
“Whenever they are ready, we are ready. How many times do we have to call? All they have to do is pick up the phone.”
“All I want to do is prove to the world that I am the best, that I am the baddest man on the planet but they don’t want the fight, man.
“They are trying to manipulate the British fans and they’ve done a great job,” said Wilder.
