Eddie Hearn has revealed that he is trying to organise a world title fight between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte. The promoter issued a challenge to Wilder recently and invited the American to defend his title in London against Whyte.
Wilder has now responded on social media.
Wilder is not massively entertained by the idea because a win over Whyte would not raise his stock.
“The last time I checked I was the damn CHAMP! When I beat the horse shit out your stray doggy, (Animal Farm) I’m AGAIN not going to GAIN any credit or anything from anybody for beating his ass whatsoever,” he wrote.
But from the looks of it, Wilder is up for the challenge and the fight is taking steps forward.
“If you’re serious, get your master Eddie Hearn to follow the procedures and get the fight made.”
