The WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and the unified WBA (Super), IBO & IBF world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua still seem to be on a collision course towards making the most exciting possible match up in the heavyweight division at this present time.
Any fight between them would be seen as pitting together two monstrous punchers capable of turning the lights out at any given moment.

Joshua is currently locked in negotiations to take on WBO world heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker in a unification showdown at the Principality Stadium on March 31st.
On the other hand, Deontay Wilder is currently negotiating a world heavyweight title defence against the Cuban slickster Luis Ortiz inside the first quarter of 2018.
The Alabama native, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has openly shared that both he and ‘AJ’ are in grave danger of kissing the canvas when they do finally meet in the squared circle.
Wilder began by explaining that there always risks associated with a world heavyweight championship bout. But he seems confident that there is no chance that he will be the one hitting the deck when they do battle.

“Deontay signs that contract each and every time with any fighter.”
“I don’t think about hitting the canvas, I think about putting my opponent to the canvas,” Wilder explained.
“I think about hurting him so bad, that even when he gets to the hospital. He will remember that he was in a fight with Deontay Wilder.”
“Of course [both of us could go down in the fight], this is heavyweight boxing, that’s what it consists of.”
“When you look down on that contract. It’s not on there in print but you both could see the canvas, it’s (an) invisible print,” Wilder added.

“We already know this is capable of happening. We do it anyway if you’re a warrior, you sign that contract anyway.”
If you’re a king as you say you are, you will sign that contract anyway.” Wilder concluded in an interview with On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
