Deontay Wilder is planning to put an end to the Anthony Joshua Show and the rising boxing boom in Britain.
The WBC World heavyweight champion will defend his title against Luis Ortiz on March 3 but he has not forgotten about his real target in boxing, Joshua.
You know what they say… what goes around comes around. Luis Ortiz, I’m blessing you with this opportunity once again but you still need to suffer the consequences of your actions. I WILL teach you a lesson on March 3rd. #BombZquad#WilderOrtiz#WhatGoesAroundComesAroundpic.twitter.com/3mmBPkd9Sv

The WBA super, IBF & IBO world champion is set to collide against WBO champion Joseph Parker in March at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The event is expected to sell out completely but despite the huge numbers, Wilder is not impressed.
“He’s [Joshua] talking about the percentages in England and stuff like that. Bro, 70,000 people may look good in a small country, but you are not getting the money like you are over here just compared to 20,000,” Wilder said at Showtime’s press conference according to the Daily Mail.
Wilder is still beating the same drum that financially the best place to make a profit in boxing is the United States – not the UK.
“You make your money here in America. The mega boxing is here in America, it always will be no matter what they are doing over there,” explained Wilder.
If you didn’t know now you know. 2018 is going to be a GREAT year for the #BombZquad and for boxing as a whole. March 3rd baby… it’s going down at @barclayscenter. Me vs Luis Ortiz. @premierboxing@showtimeboxing#WilderOrtiz #2018 pic.twitter.com/7yavJh4ki5

British boxing is at its all time high at the moment but Wilder plans to put an end to it with a knockout win over Joshua in their potential upcoming unification fight.
“Once I knock him (Joshua) out, all of that over there is going to go down and it will be no more,” promised ‘The Bronze Bomber.’
Should Joshua win the WBO World heavyweight title from Parker in March, he will call the shots in regards to when and where he fights Wilder. Promoter Eddie Hearn has been feeding the media with subtle hints of Joshua fighting in the US this year but with the way he is excelling in the UK, the WBC champion might not have any other options but to fly over if he wishes to step into the ring against ‘AJ.’
“So hey, choose your battles wisely, choose your places wisely. Where ever he feels like it is going to be comfortable for him, if he has the courage to beat me then so be it, I’ll be there, I’ll be waiting,” said Wilder

“Right now he [Joshua] ain’t decided where he wants to fight. If he wants to fight in America or the UK. But Deontay Wilder I don’t care where I fight.
“Either it is in America or the UK, but you got to get your mind right Anthony Joshua because I’m coming to take all the belts I promise you,” Deontay Wilder said at the press conference.
Whether it be UK or US, Wilder is eager to face Joshua and prove his critics wrong. If both fighters win their title fights in March, there is only huge heavyweight unification clash left to make in world boxing.
