Former two-weight world champion, Timothy Bradley Jr, has some harsh worlds for Gervonta Davis in the face of his recent controversies and says he hopes Ryan Garcia knocks him out.
After Davis’ recent arrest and an incident at a Basketball game in 2020, Bradley has labelled the former super-featherweight champion as a ‘coward’.
In an interview with Fight Hub TV, the pending Hall of Fame inductee spoke of his dislike for ‘Tank’ and his wishes for Garcia to ‘sit him on his pants’.
“I am rooting for him [Garcia]. I want him to win, because I am not a fan of Tank. I’m not a fan of what he does and the way that he operates outside of the ring. I want Ryan Garcia to knock his ass out. Knock him out, sit him on his pants, give him a rude awakening. I can hope, but I don’t know if that is going to happen.”
“I just don’t like the guy because of what I hear and what I see, I think he is a piece of s**t, I honestly do, he is a piece of s**t. You put your hand on a woman like that, you are a piece of s**t in my book. You are not a man. My Dad always told me that you are a coward if you do something like that, deep down inside, you are a coward. You’ve got to pick on somebody that can’t even defend themselves? That’s not right. I don’t care about whatever he is saying afterwards, boy you have got enough money to buy so many toothbrushes, you can buy a toothbrush company probably, with all the money that you’ve got.”
“Tank is a good fighter, but a horrible person.”
Bradley went on to say that Garcia must fix some flaws if he is to defeat Davis.
“Stylistically, there is some problems that I see that could serve Ryan Garcia up and if he can fix these problems moving forward in this fight, then he has a damn good chance, a punchers chance. With his speed, his quickness and his youth, he has got a chance, no doubt about it, but he has got to fix these holes first.”
Bradley and boxing fans will have to wait to see if Garcia can become the first man to beat Gervonta Davis, with a date of April 15th pencilled-in. However, recent comments from Oscar De La Hoya, promoter of Garcia, have thrown the fight into doubt.
