Zuffa Boxing planning first event outside of the Apex

Zuffa Boxing is closing in on a key milestone. The promotion is finalizing plans for its first event outside of the UFC Apex.

According to sources who spoke with Brunch Boxing, the company is targeting an early summer date. The event is expected to take place in California. That move signals a shift toward a broader live audience.

Zuffa appears ready to showcase one of its top signings. Brandun Lee is being lined up for the card. His inclusion would give the event immediate credibility.

Lee enters the Zuffa Boxing spotlight with an unbeaten record of 30 wins and 23 knockouts. He has built a reputation as a dangerous and disciplined, albeit recently inactive, fighter.

Last June, Lee delivered a dominant showing in Newark, New Jersey. He outpointed Elias Araujo over eight rounds without losing a single frame.

Throughout his career, Lee has competed exclusively at junior welterweight. However, his upcoming fight will mark a change. He is expected to move up to welterweight for his Zuffa debut.
