Zuffa Boxing continues to push forward with its international expansion strategy and, according to internal sources, the promotional entity is considering staging two events in Europe during the upcoming summer, following its initial run of six shows in Las Vegas.
The first event is being targeted for June 6 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom, with a potential cruiserweight clash involving Chris Billam-Smith against a yet to be-confirmed opponent. That said, it would not be far-fetched to consider Ryan Rozicki as a possible candidate, given his recent arrival into the Zuffa Boxing landscape and the natural stylistic appeal the matchup would bring on paper.
Rozicki (21-1-1, 20 KOs) has developed a reputation as a heavy-handed cruiserweight, with 20 of his 21 wins coming by knockout. His only defeat came in 2021 against Oscar Rivas via unanimous decision in Montreal, a bout taken on short notice. In his most recent outing, he stopped Gerardo Mellado via second-round technical knockout in Sydney.
Billam-Smith (21-2, 13 KOs), a native of Bournemouth, maintains a strong local following in his hometown, where he has headlined major events and built a significant fanbase. The 35 year old captured the WBO cruiserweight world title in 2023 in Bournemouth, defeating Lawrence Okolie at the Vitality Stadium in one of the defining nights of his career. He later lost the belt to Gilberto Ramirez before rebounding with a win over Brandon Glanton in London.
The second event, also according to sources, is being lined up for August 8 in Dublin, Ireland, where unbeaten Callum Walsh (16-0, 11 KOs) could headline on home soil against an opponent yet to be confirmed. Walsh recently headlined the first Zuffa Boxing event in Las Vegas, where he defeated Carlos Ocampo via unanimous decision.
These plans form part of Zuffa Boxing’s broader global expansion push and come in the wake of its broadcast partnership agreement with Sky Sports, which will become the promotional platform’s primary UK and Ireland broadcaster beginning in April 2026, featuring a minimum of five domestic events annually alongside international distribution.
