Adam Azim continued to build on his undefeated record with a punch perfect performance against ‘Pint Sized Powerhouse’, Rylan Charlton.
The super lightweight contest was scheduled for 10 rounds. It kicked off with a live performance ring walk fit for a world champion, never mind a prospect with half a dozen fights. Such is the excitement around Azim, who is reportedly struggling to find sparring partners and opponents based on what they know about him.
Charlton has fought up at 146lb before, but seems to suit this weight. In the build up, he told the media that he felt BOXXER were rushing Azim with this bout. He was to be proven wrong very quickly.
As the action started, Azim flicked out the jab and looked to catch Charlton coming in, which he did. His wide stance allowed him to build up big power, and there was no fear of what was coming back. With 45 seconds to go, Charlton looked unsteady after a big right hand on top of the ear.
He hung on for 30 seconds or so until he was dropped. He made it up before hitting the deck again much harder from a big left hand. Saved by the bell, but the mood in the corner was likely low.

Azim picked his shots well in the second, none better than an incredible right that sent his opponent face first into the ropes. The towel came in as the referee was waving it off. Backflip. Celebrations. On to the next.
