Croatian heavyweight prospect Alen Babic will now face American Shawndell Winters on the Dillian Whyte-Alexander Povetkin undercard at Matchroom’s Fight Camp in Brentwood on August 22.
Babic (3-0, 3 KOs) has been sparring WBC interim champion Whyte as he prepares for his crunch clash with Povetkin next Saturday.
Known as ‘The Savage’, the 6ft 1ins Babic will fight a boxer with a winning record for the very first time. The 39-year-old Winters (13-3, 12 KOs) was stopped in five rounds by Joseph Parker in February,
Babic-Winters is available on Sky Box Office on Saturday.
