Joshua Buatsi Gets Compared To Evander Holyfield and Andre Ward After Recent Performance

Tony Bellew is heralding 4-0 prospect Joshua Buatsi as a cross between Hall of Famer Evander Holyfield and retired pound-for-pound king Andre Ward – arguably the best cruiserweight and light heavyweight to grace their respective divisions.

The counterpuncher from Croydon shined on the Okolie-Chamberlain undercard, stopping Hemel Hempstead’s Jordan Joseph by TKO in round two.
Big names throughout the fight fraternity echoed Bellew’s superlatives. The Liverpudlian’s  promotional stablemate Kell Brook admitted Buatsi’s dominant display “impressed” him.

Brook steps up to 154lbs to face Sergey Rabchenko in March. Heavyweight, Dave “White Rhino” Allen, rematches Lenroy Thomas on the undercard and also praised the Olympic bronze medallist.

Adam Booth, the trainer of Frampton’s countrymen Ryan Burnett and Mick Conlan, showered praise on the light heavyweight, describing him as “a class act” and “immaculate”.

High praise for a prospect with 15 professional rounds to his name.
Buatsi has won all of his four professional fights with three wins coming via stoppage.
