Since hanging up the gloves almost a decade ago, Carl Froch can be found plying his trade breaking down boxing as a pundit.
Known for his relentless style in the ring, Froch’s style of punditry has followed suit and he has become known for not being afraid to put the boot in – just ask Anthony Joshua.
And his paymasters at DAZN may not be too best pleased with his comments about the upcoming crossover fight in Manchester between KSI and Tommy Fury.
On a video on his YouTube channel Froch on Fighting, ‘The Cobra’ bluntly labelled the event as a “s*** show.”
“Next week in Manchester we’ve got a s*** show with Misfits!”
“You can’t call it boxing. I know Tommy Fury’s making money and there’s a few other fights on the card. But these guys are going to go in there, swing away and they can’t really hurt each other.”
“It’s a load of nonsense and it’s not professional boxing- they should call it play fighting!”
“It’s just worlds apart from real professional boxing. They shouldn’t call it boxing.”
It’s not the first time Froch has had some choice words for influencers who have dipped into the world of boxing, as he described Jake Paul as a “clown” earlier this year.
Though it may not be Froch or many other folk’s cup of tea, this weekend’s fight between KSI and Fury has sold out the Manchester Arena and could well be, numbers wise, the biggest show to take place on UK shores in 2023.
