Jake Paul has been advised to take up darts by Carl Froch after losing via split decision to Tommy Fury.
The American’s boxing career fell at the first hurdle after Fury outboxed him over eight rounds, surviving a flash knockdown in the final round to win it on two of the scorecards.
Froch, a four-time world champion, had been involved in a back and forth with Paul before the fight, and even said he would look a contract for their own bout should he beat Fury.
He didn’t, and ‘The Cobra’ – who was part of the BT Sport boradcast team – found that hilarious.
“Jake Paul, absolutely useless. You just got embarrassed. You got whooped. What was that? I’ve never seen anything so bad in my life, that was terrible. Take up darts.”

It’s the consequences of trash talk, and Jake Paul has plenty of it to come given how vocal he was in the build-up to the fight.
The fight played out how many had predicted, with Fury using his fundamentals to overcome a wildly swinging Paul who was looking for one shot and, when he didn’t find it, had no plan B.
In the aftermath, Paul gave credit to Fury but mentioned sickness in camp and an arm injury – neither of which stack up against pre-fight comments.
He has an immediate rematch clause available to him in the contract, and has made it known that he will activate it to face Fury again in the not-so-distant future.
The other options on the table are moving back down a level to crossover boxing against fellow YouTubers, or going back to facing retired MMA professionals with little boxing experieince.
Either way, a fight with Froch seems highly unlikely at this stage – but the hall-of-famer may not stop the mocking anytime soon.
