Following reports that Conor Benn-Chris Eubank Jr is just a few ‘minor details’ away from being signed, Benn has confirmed the date.
Last October, the pair were set to reignite a boxing rivalry started by their fathers, but the even was canned on fight week following news that Benn had tested positive with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency.
He has been protesting innocence ever since.
During that time, Eubank fought Liam Smith twice, suffering his maiden stoppage defeat in their first bout but returning the favour in the rematch and looking good doing it.
It added more hype to the controversial contest, and, following Benn’s low-key ring return in Florida, both teams ramped up the talks.
Despite the 26-year-old still not having a license to fight in the UK, Mail Sport reports that a fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is extremely close to getting over the line.
Following the news, Benn and Eubank engaged in a back and forth on social media in which the former confirmed the date of February 3.
In response to Eubank calling him a ‘dead man walking’, Benn said his victory would be career-ending.
“I’ll remind you of this when you are being scraped up off the f***ing canvas. Feb 3 I’m ending your career.”

Whilst fans await an official announcement, as well as the details surrounding the governing body for the fight, Benn and Eubank kick off the promotion.
The bout is expected to take place at the middleweight limit of 160lbs, contrary to the first agreed deal that was set at a catchweight of 157.
