Conor Benn Says He’s ‘A Promoter’s Dream’ And Reels Off Top Names He’s Willing To Fight

As his struggle to get back to fighting regularly continues, Conor Benn has once again become his own hype man and named himself a ‘promoter’s dream’ while also listing some of the big names he would love to challenge in the ring.

Benn remains something of an outcast right now and still doesn’t have a license to fight in the UK. That is the result of a saga that started when he showed up two adverse findings in drug tests in 2022 ahead of his ill-fated fight with Chris Eubank Jr.

Since then he has protested his innocence and seemingly come close to agreeing a deal with Eubank to fight, though it has repeatedly fallen by the wayside.

Benn has fought once since then when he took on Mexican Rodolfo Orozco in the US last September and won a 10 round points decision, while Eubank fought Liam Smith twice in the same time – losing once by knockout then winning by knockout in the rematch.

Speaking to Boxing Social he has now claimed he is in demand by many top names.

“What more do you want me to do? I’m a promoter’s dream, what more do you want me to do? I’m the most wanted man in Britain, the most wanted man in the welterweight division.”

He then named several opponents who he thought would be ready to fight him.

From Haney to Brook, from Gervonta to Taylor, from Kelly, even Broner, Pacquiao, what do you want me to do? I ain’t fought for a year and a half and I’m still there at the forefront of people’s minds in these mega fights.”

Finally, he said he would be happy to take on any of those mentioned.

“It’s frustrating, I couldn’t care less about Eubank, just a big name. Any one of the names mentioned, let’s make it happen.”

On top of that big list of stars, Benn has also said he would be happy to fight welterweight champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. In the meantime, the Brit returns to the ring on February 2 against undefeated American Peter Dobson – a former sparring partner of ‘Boots.’
